I found a beagle-daschund mix about a year ago that had been dropped in the middle of nowhere. She was so weak and so sick that while my husband and I nursed her back to health we never crated her because we felt sorry for her (big mistake). Now, a year later, she is very healthly but not housebroken. I thought she only had the occasional accident but I there was a faint smell of urine in the dining room. I got a blacklight and to my horror she has been peeing all over this room. Now I have to get her housebroken. I need any advice I can get. I have housebroken puppies before using a crate but never an older dog (the guesses she is around 3yrs) that I have had for this long already. Is it all right to start crating her after all this time?
