My boyfriend has a very fishy odor at the head of his penis. I have tried to politely tell him to wash before sex but, it doesn't seem to help. It's driving me crazy because if I'm in the mood, as soon as smell it, I'm not! Also, I end up smelling the same way, and I'm not liking it! Is this some sort of STD I should know about? I have had several partners and have never had this situation. Help?

How often does he wash down there ?
Does he work in a hot sweaty job ?
Has he or you been checked lately ?

I was checked for STD's and I am clean. He is not circumsized, he showers every day.

He may need to do a more thorough job of cleaning his penis when he showers and making certain to dry properly too. An uncircumcised penis needs more maintenance than running soap and water over it or a rough toweling off. He needs to pull back the foreskin while cleaning and drying.

Improper cleaning can allow bacteria to flourish and cause more problems than just smells.

He need to take a shower or at least clean his penis.
