Venting a cathedral ceiling in a double wide home
I have an double wide and have been doing some upgrades. I've stripped and installed ceiling tile in my livingroom which is a cathedral ceiling. I've also installed a metal roof. I've has some buckling of my ceiling tiles due to excessive heat this summer. I want to install a vent fan. Here is my question... if I install a low profile vent fan on the back side of the roof will air pass freely in the crossover where the home is put together? I have a 1992 Southern Energy double wide. Thanks in advance for any help!

Are you in the South or the North?

If in the South you should have had a ridge vent installed with your metal roof. Too late now to do this.

If in the North you need to address any snow/rain that would enter the vent.

Have you called up a mobile home repair service locally and consulted with them as to what their solution would be? They I am sure have run into this type of situation before and could probably suggest a better fix for your needs.

I live in the mountains of SW Virginia and we aren't very poplulated w/ mobile home repair businesses. Rain/Snow not a prob due to generous overhang.
