    Ge water cooler mod gxcf20e
Ge mod gxcf20e water cooler. Cold water freezes. Hot water works. Bypassed bad component on circuit board. Worked for several months. Must turn of cold circuit to thaw. Need circuit board if available.

I cannot find a schematic for this unit. If it has an electronic t-stat then you will need to replace the bad part which could be the circuit board or the thermistor or other type of sensor. You could always just wire in a regular water cooler t-stat if there is a place to put in the capillary sensing tube on the t-stat. It's just a switch to turn the compressor and condenser fan on when the t-stat calls for it to turn on. A simple generic water cooler t-stat is adjustable and would solve the problem for about $15.
