Is it locked on number lock?

Number lock shouldn't affect this on a desktop keyboard. On a laptop without a number pad, I would expect this.

OP: Please explain what you mean. Does each letter correspond to a number? Like every time you type 'a' you get '1' instead? Or do you mean as you type something like 'hello' you get '12345'. In what way are the numbers consecutive? Does this happen in all programs? What type of keyboard do you have (ie is a standard QWERTY, or an international keyboard layout)? How does your keyboard interface with your computer (USB, PS/2, etc)? What operating system are you using (Windows 7, Windows Vista, Mac OS X, Ubuntu, etc)?

It was COMPLETELY unnecessary to post a comment with 50 returns only to repeat yourself at the bottom. *eyeroll*

Allow me to repeat myself: "Does this happen in all programs?" "How does your keyboard interface with your computer (USB, PS/2, etc)?"

What have you tried in order to fix this problem (so that I don't tell you to do a bunch of things you have already done)?

Also, and this is the most important part:

Read the entire post before replying, and please reply do not comment. And for the love of god do not put a ton of returns in the post so that I have to scroll forever just to answer you.
