I have a Murray 17 HP IC Twin model 42A707 code:9609205B Type: 165301 and it ran fine one day after we cleaned the carb out. Then ran it the next day to mow the yard and it started running rough, sputtered then died and cannot start it back up until it cools down then the same over again. Any suggestion on what this might be? The battery is new and the plugs are getting fire.

Check fuel lines for soft places , check your fuel cap make sure its venting . Luck

It is venting because I already checked them. My gas lines seem to be fine also. I can get it running after it has cooled off and it runs fine in neutral but when I put it in gear it starts to run rough and eventually dies.
