Hi.Water inside my house(Kitchen and bathroom)is pushed up to the drain next to the one where the water is running in (in a double basin in the kitchen for instance). There was someone at my house recently to clean my outside drains with rods, but that didn't solve my problem that water is still being pushed up to other drains inside the house. Can someone please help. Henk

It sounds like the outside work is done, but now the inside drain pipes need to be snaked, too... ;)

For example, at the kitchen sink, if possible, chase the drain pipe out until it joins into the main drain pipe and measure the distance from the sink to that larger pipe. Now, access the drain through the wall or down the sink vent and snake the drain to the main drain pipe the length measured... should resolve the issue at the sink, OK?

You can rent a drain snake at many home depots or a local tool rental store.

What does 'snake the drain' means. Clean it with rods?

Clean it with a hand-held or floor model cable machine... see images. Both can be rented at any local tool rental store. Be sure to get a pair of safety goggles and leather gloves if you decide to tackle this yourself, OK?
