    Menstration and Swimming
I cannot get me daughter to use a tampon. She is a swimmer and now teaches swimming. I can't find any info on being in the pool with a light period. Any for sure answers out there?

    Hi
I am a swimmer, and on my period I don't wear a tampon when I swim. If you take a shower 1/2 hour before you swim, your period stops. It also stops when you are in the water. Hope this helps!

    Not True For Me
    Hi

Sorry, but I have never found that my period stops because of water. Who knows if I'm the only one out there or not but it doesn't make sense that it would to me!

    Sorry couldn't help more!

    Hey
While it makes no sense, most women's periods just stop when they take a shower or a bath or go swimming. It's a normal thing. But its not something I would rely on. Could lead for a very embarasing situation if it doesn't work for her. My younger sister would not use tampons either, there is a brand though that is extra small that she doesn't mind. Its tampax satin teen. See if she will use that.
