    Imperial linear measurment
What is the terminology for 24 inch length (2 feet) in imperial linear measurement and what trade was it used in?

2 feet IS the imperial measurement, this equates to about 61 cm.

Since this question is posted in the History section of AMHD - I suspect the question is regarding the length of a cubit. Over time and through various cultures the length of a cubit has varied quite a bit, but in Britain it was traditionally set equivalent to 8 palms, or 24 inches. Cubits were a common measure for textiles and wood working.
