can anyone *** answer my query? Actually I was born and brought up in India... and obviously did my schooling there.. I received my high school degree (we call it degree not diploma) in 1998. Presently I am immigrating to U.S. in near future... so I was wondering whether my degree is valid for acquiring a job or for pursuing higher studies in U.S... or do I have to appear for some evaluation test or something like that? So long as it wasn't a private school you should be OK with it and it be accepted here. Private schools have different criteria then state sponsored schools. In the U.S. the school would have to be acredited as a private school for your records to count.
