My fiancé was involved with a girl... she got pregnant... told him he was the dad... he signed the birth certificate... and now she's claiming he's not the father... but he's being charged child support... what's the process we need to go about getting his name off the birth certificate... we live in Washington state.

Has there been a DNA test done to prove he's not the father?

Who is charging him with CS? Has there been a court or administratvie order that he pay? If so, he needs to file to modify that.

Well child support services... the girl signed up for welfare I suppose and child support services let him know he was being garnished... and how does he go about that... this is so over his head he would know the 1st step.

They sent him some sort of official demand for support then.
He should reply, in writing, explaining that, despite what the BC says, he is not the father and requesting that paternity testing be conducted. They will have to arrange this. If he is not the father, they will have to cover the cost of testing.

So basically, dispute this... and they'll set up the paternity testing date and everything?
