2 Missed Periods, Negative Blood Test
    Hello,

I haven't gotten my period since Nov. 23. I took a blood pregnany test on Jan. 11th but it was non pregnancy. Before I got the results back from the pregnancy test my doctor checked my cervix and scheduled me for a sonogram in two weeks. (this Friday) I am really scared because I don't know if I'm pregnant or not. I have been feeling nauseated, tired, hungry more often, and my breast have been feeling tender. Can someone help me please and tell me what you think*

Sometimes pregnancy doesn't show up on a blood test the first time either. Its pretty rare, but it does happen. If he ordered a sonogram it most likely means he has reason to believe that pregnancy is a possibility, wants to rule out the possibility, or is looking for other reasons behind the late period. I was later for my period two months before too. I had a negative blood test. I got an exam, and she said that my uterus was bigger then it should be, but I didn't have the blueish colored tint in there that women who are preggy have. She said to wait a little longer for the period to show, and sure enough within a week it showed up. Sometimes our bodies just throw us through a loop. Let us know what you find out on Friday, and good luck to you.

Bugga is right about the blood test.

Go and buy a home pregnancy test from your local druggist. Take the test first thing in the morning when you wake up. Don't urinate prior to taking the test, taking the test with your first urination of the day. Depending on what the results are, on Friday when you go to the doctors, discuss the results and what has been occurring this week.

Sometimes you can also exhibit false pregnancy symptoms because you are stressed out about not getting your period. But I would rule out the pregnancy first.

The only reason I am suggesting you do a home pregnancy test is that if you are pregnant, the doctor needs to know. Discuss the results of that test with the doctor prior to the exam on Friday.

Sweetie, please don't panic. Whatever the outcome your doctor will be able to help guide you. Good Luck.

They may just need to put you on provera to start your periods up again. But they will probably want to make sure you aren't pregnant first. I am not sure, I don't know much about that. The next step will be to consult with your ob/gyn about your options. Good luck, and best wishes

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant but I'm worried it might be an ectopic pregnancy since the results are negative. Besides not having a period for 2mo I have not had any other pregnancy symptoms. Please help
