9-year-old Keeshond eating nothing, sleeping a lot
My 9-yr.-old Keeshond, Hope, has not eaten a single thing in six days; she is still drinking and urinating and defecating, however. No blood in the stool and it has substance. She did begin this journey with two days of vomitting and diarreah, though. Had her to the vet twice in three days last week. They theorized "doggy flu". Because she is a very, very nervous girl, we opted to give her Sub-Q fluids here at home rather than hospitalize her. She is currently on Panacur, Sucralfate, and Pepcid a/c along with the Sub-Q fluids. Vet did an x-ray on her stomach and bowel and found nothing. Vet did blood tests and found all results normal except her liver values--they were elevated. Initially, her temperature was 104.9 first vet visit. On second visit, it was down to 101.9. Other than not eating, she is sleeping a great deal. She is still able to get herself up and around, and she still gets excited when we come home. Any ideas? I will be taking her to the vet again tomorrow (the third time in a week) if she does not miraculously decide to begin to eat, but it would be nice to have an idea what's going on. Any advice or information will be greatly appreciated.
