I have been approved for SSDI/SSI and I was told that my children ( Not sure what ages this affects) can be entitled to payment from my disability as well? I have 5 children. One is 27, lives away from home, 2 girls ages 21 and 22, both in college and the two little ones ages 12& 16 ,but they live with their father in another state. Main concern is, will the ones in the other state living with their father be entitled to this money? And if so, how do I file to have them receive it? BTW I live in Nevada and the two little ones live in California.

Yes, its true that minor children are entitled to payments if you are declared disabled. Your application should have listed your minor dependents at least. The payments to them should be automatic, but check with your case worker to make sure.
