Never been to court for child support
I never married and had a child in 2003. I left my daughter's father when she was 2 1/2 years old. My daughter is now 8 yrs. Old. I've never taken her father to court for support. Up until he had a stroke he was an OK father. From the time I left until he had his stroke we had a verbal agreement on child support $'s and visitation. I now receive about 1/2 of that amount through Social Security Disability Benefits from her father. Is this considered child support?

It can be considered as part of child support depending on your states laws. The only way to know is to calculate the support based on the state you live in.
You need to get an order for support right away.

ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

As noted, your state may include the amount of disability payment as part of his support obligation. Since you haven't gone to court for support, he doesn't owe any.

And child support is based on his income, I will assume after the stroke his earnings were seriously lower. So what is the percent of money to income now ? You may actually be getting more money per dollar he earns than before.

I hope this has not allowed a change in his visits

He does not owe you support unless and until you get a Court Order. When you DO get a Court Order they will take his SS benefits and many other factors into consideration.
