Will DSS or DCF be involved in my life for being on methadone when pregnant?
I have been clean for a year, and on methadone. I just found out I am about 6 weeks pregnant and I would like to know what the rules and such say for how/if/why DSS or DCF would get involved with the pregnancy or involved in my life after I give birth and the baby has to detox off the methadone? Thanks Rachel F

Yes, it's entirely possible that the birth (and the baby's addiction) will be reported to DSS or DCF. I'd talk to your social worker or the person invovled in prescribing the methadone IN ADVANCE.

Here is a great resource for you regarding methadone and pregnancy. Definitely speak to your social worker about this.
