I had 10 yrs probation, I've been on it since 2005 my lawyer was trying to get my restitution lowered, it was me and 3 other guys that did arson, I'm not worried about that I didn't even light or throw gas on any thing, but my restitution is $63,000 for 10 yrs, but thts not the fun fact so since my lawyer was trying to get it lowered they didn't give it to me until 5 yrs later and didn't lower it, so now they want me to pay $1,100 a month, HOW? But this is the kicker it was a trailer that they converted into a school for bad kids with maybe about 10 laptops and dodge balls and basketballs and not to mention was donated to them, but 3 guys paying 63,000 each that's $190,000 there's no way possible its worth that much. Then when I asked my probation what happen she say we didn't show up to court,she say it came through the mail, I'm lost every time she send me mail in forms are info she thinks I need to know I get it but I didn't get that. That's BOGUS. And even if I could find a good job which I can't cause of my felony what should I do

I gather you've never bought a house. If the house costs 150,000, you pay a whole heck of a lot more than 150K by the time you are done making monthly payments. It's called INTEREST.
Never mind that you don't get to do any real estate appraisals from where you sit. Once you commit a crime most of your rights go out the window.

As for mail you didn't get... what can we say? Some people toss half their mail, or it slides behind a counter or under a car seat, never to be seen again, but it's your job to be particularly attentive for 10 years.

There's restitution to the court, and there's making amends to the very people whose lives you put on hold. Who knows how many kids went bad while that building was sitting there burnt?
Go offer to work on the new trailer, beg donations of basketballs from Walmart, clean the steps, talk to some of the kids about where your life ended up. That's restitution.

So it ain't fair, tough, if that is the judges rule, you either agree and do it ( or try) or they will be glad to just let you spend those 10 next years in prison. ** if you think something is not fair, think of that.

Most likely the payment is 63000 total, but each one is fully liable till it is all paid. ** but your attorney can look into that.

Restitution is part of your sentence... Whatever award was granted, it SHOULD have been granted AT your sentencing... Apparently, it happened later... I'd appeal.
