I have heard of this {e-mail address removed}, that checks out your info, and after some time returns to you congratulating you and asking you to send 300 or so to file a claim and shipping charges. Then they will fedx to you from Oprah a check for about 18k. This is done from her charity spirit.

Scam, no she does not do things like that.

Oprah's name has been used in many scams to trap the guiabble. This is a version of a common scam called the Nigeria letter. You are offered a sum of money, too good to be true but first you must meet some expense, usually Fedx or some other charges, you pay the money and that is the last you will hear of it, or you may be asked for more. Depending on the information they seek it may be a Phishing expedition leading to identity theft. If you don't believe me contact Oprah yourself

I can't believe people still fall for this kind of stuff. Internet lotteries too... it just amazes me how much money people lose to these scams every year.
