Stop drinking any fluid except water. Stop eating anything containing flour, sugar, rice, potatoes with anything on them except low-fat yogurt. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, skinless chicken and turkey, unbreaded fish.

Walk everywhere and every time you can -- up and down stairs, all the way from the backs of parking lots. Buy a Hula Hoop and use it as exercise for at least fifteen minutes twice a day. Turn on fast music and dance to it, moving arms and legs and body. Check out exercise-dance DVDs from the library and follow their routines.

    Best wishes!

At 14 you should be more concerned with eating healthy and not losing "50 pounds fast". You will still want to drink milk or have some source for calcium. Women especially.

How tall are you, and how much do you weigh? You say you are 40 pounds overweight, but are you sure about that? Have you checked with a physician? Is it affecting your health adversely?

Wondergirl is correct in her suggestions and you definitely want to eat healthy and exercise. My concern is that you want to lose this weight for the wrong reasons and are, possibly, a little too eager to lose it so quickly. You should lose the weight for yourself, and for your health. It should not be to get recognized and have guys stare at you. You're only 14. I hadn't kissed a girl until I was about 15. Don't feel bad and don't pressure yourself into moving into adulthood too quickly.

FadedMaster is right. You need to lose the weight for the right reasons. For example, don't tell yourself you want to lose weight so you can look as good as your sister, do it because you want to be healthy and happy and beautiful. Doing it for the right reasons will be a lot easier. You won't get overnight results, it will take time and the stronger your reason for the change the easier it will be to stick with it.

First, consult your doctor, maybe even a nutritionist. Eating healthy is your number one priority. Skipping meals is NOT eating healthy, it does more harm to your body than good. Here is a link to a great diet plan http://www.the-zone-diet-plan.com/

Your second priority, Exercise! Try and train at least 5 days a week, 1 hour a day. Cardio every day, whether its running, cycling, dancing, whatever you like, but try and do something different every day. Have you heard of 'Zumba' I hear it's really good for losing weight and apparently its fun too lol. Working your abs as well as plenty of cardio will get you a nice toned stomach, and working your legs with squats, lunges and so on will get you those nice long, slim legs that I assume you would want.

One more thing. Don't over do it! If your body isn't used to intense training, pushing yourself too hard won't do you any good. Work up to it, get yourself into a good routine and then you can really start to turn your life around.

The most important thing is to feel good about yourself. Be happy and stay positive. Good Luck.

If you need more details, so do we. Height? Weight? Fitness level? If you want I can even help you write up a training program.
