Irregular period, itchy and swollen vagina
I've been having irregular periods, I've been on the contraceptive pill for around 4 months and my period hasn't been regulated by the pill like it's suppose to.. this week I got my period on the active pills and only for a day or two. I've been on anti depressants, anti biotics and a few other pills lately.. I've been diagnosed with depression. I've also noticed the past week or so my vagina has been very itchy ( I thought it might have been from shaving) but it seems to be closer to the vagina opening :/ which I think may be swollen. I'm 18 and only started having sex with my boyfriend this year - we were both virgins.. and have only had sex with each other. I have endimetriosis in my family and cervical cancer but I'm not sure if that could have anything to do with it. Please help.

For your pills to help make your period regular make sure you are taking them at the same time every day.

Also, certain antibiotics can make the pill ineffective, so you need to be using back up birth control while taking the antibiotics and for about 2-3 weeks after stopping them. Antibiotics are also notorious for yeast infections. This is what is most likely causing your vaginal itching and swelling.

Thank you :) I'm aware the anti biotics can cancel out the pill so I use condoms as well whenever I'm on them and around 3-4 weeks after finishing them, and I take the pill at 1030 everyday sometimes an hour before or 2 hours behind but no more then 4 hours. Will I have to go to the doctors for a yeast infection?

You can try some over-the-counter yeast medication. I recommend Monostat if you have it where you are. If that doesn't clear it up usually a phone call to your doctor and he will call in a prescription.
