My puppy is a labrador retriver of 80days old. He was given 2 vaccinations Vanguard 5 and leptofrim c-1 for 2 days 21 days apart and the first vaccination when he was 58days old.
Now he is having diarrhea with bloody stools and vomiting ~ I took him to a local vet who is giving him IV fluids moring and evening since yesterday! Will he be alrite! I just want someone else telling me he ll be alrite! Thank you!

There really is no definite answer here, Parvo is a horrible disease that no dog owner wants to go through, he is getting the best chance he can by being at the vet.

Yes recovery is certainly possible if caught early on, but I can't say "yes, he will be alright".

Thanks I guess~ I take him to the vet around 6am and 6pm for IVs ! I was instructed not to gv him anything not even water~ cause he justs vomits them!

I would also like to add~ I have a cockatiel~ will this affect him? He is all healthy atm!

No, it won't affect the cockatiel.

If he can't keep water down then withholding is the best thing, when he vomits, he's not only vomiting the water, but any liquid in the stomach as well, dehydrating him further.

If he's having the IV twice daily that will be keeping him hydrated.
Did the vet tell you how to check for dehydration?
Easiest way I find is to look at the gums, if they look dry and pale it's usually a good indication.
Another way to tell is to pinch and lift the skin. If the skin bounces straight back hydration is fine. If it takes a second for the skin to go back down and smooth out then it is usually a sign of being dehydrated.
If you think he is dehydrated at any point take him in to the vet.

Unfortunately Shaz is correct, no one can promise that he will be allright. Parvo can be unpredictable.
But I am confused, Is he getting IV fluids through a port in the vein or is he getting Subcutanious fluids which are placed just under the skin with a needle?
Keep following your Vets advice and check for dehydration, the intructions above are good ones.

I'll tell you the truth. Parvo has an 80% fatality rate. But, you caught it early, which means your dogs chances of surviving are better then most.

No one can tell you what will happen, not even your vet. They can only do what they're doing, and hope for the best.

Keep following the vets instructions. That's all you can do.
