    Goodbye old friend
Sad to see our old friend the Floppy Disc, about to bite the dust,as far as PC World are concerned.Since the so-called early days,I have a floppy disc drive in my PC,even though I now use Windows XP,and Linux. The storage of 1.44mb is simply not good enough in today's hi-tec storage of massive external drives.I myself have a 320 gigabyte one.So long old friend.RIP.

I have a wall papered over in AOL floppies and CDs ;)

With thumb drives coming way down in price, floppies just don't make sense.

I still have some 5 1/4" disks and even some 8" disks from my first computer.

Reminds me of a tech support story.

User calls in to say she was installing a new software in her original PC and it stopped working. After several questions back and forth the support rep told her to send the PC back. When they got it, there were several floppies stuffed in the slot.

When asked why she kept inserting floppies the user said, that's what she was instructed to do. It didn't say anything about removing the others, just to Insert next disk!

Yeah, me too. One where a customer calls tech support and describes her cd/rom drive as "the cupholder"... lol

Aah, I see. A stiff disk.

Periodically spray diskettes with insecticide to prevent system bugs from spreading. :D

Floppy, stiffy? What the heck? I like my Zip drive!!

Just kidding. Don't take me serious Ben. But I do got to get rid of my floppy and zip.

Should I zip my floppy with my stiffy?

Or should I stiff my zip in a floppy?
