    Birth Control and Augmentin?
So last night I had sex several times and even this morning. I am on seasonique and also Augmentin now. Well I did not realize Augmentin did affect my birth control. So this morning like always I did take my birth control and I just took the Augmentin not long ago. My question is should I be concerned. Should I be worried because I took the Augmentin and it affects my birth control or not because I had sex and the birth control before I took the Augmentin ?

Well, sperm can survive in you for about ten days. Meaning, within that ten day period, you can get pregnant at anytime if you're ovulating. Antibiotics can make birth control less effective. So even if you began taking the Augmentin after you had sex, as in the morning after, it could be a little bit worrying, but there is still a good chance your birth control had already prevented the pregnancy. However, the next time, I would suggest using the morning after pill if you think your birth control might have been intervened by another medication. It's basically a higher dosage of birth control, to help prevent a pregnancy even more.
