    How to find the area of a parallelogram with a circle inside it.
    The diameter of the circle is 6 and the base of the parallelogram is 9

    May I suggest that you go to the following website for the approprate formulae? Formulae that is the word for more than one formula.

    Area of Circle, Triangle, Square, Rectangle, Parallelogram, Trapezium, Ellipse and Sector

    Just remember, that the vertical height of the parallelogram is NOT the hypotenuse of the right triangle, of which you are trying to find the length of vertical adjacent side! I assume you are to find the total area, minus the area of the circle, so when you calculate the individual areas of each geometric figure, simply subtact the area of the circle from the area of the parallelogram, for the final answer!
