I have an electric 3 pronged dryer that I want to add a circuit for on my Murray Circuit Panel. What kind of switch do I need?

You need a 30 amp double circuit breaker to fit the Murry panel, a receptacle to fit the 3 prong plug and some 10-2 Romex cable.

First off, the cord on the dryer is irrelevant. You match the cord to the circuit, not the other way around.

You need 10/3w/g cable, NOT 10/2. 10/2 used for a 240v circuit will have no neutral and the bare ground CANNOT carry the neutral current.

You will also need a 4-wire dryer receptacle, a new 4-wire cord for the dryer and a BR230 breaker.
