Windows hotmail password file

The one on the server where the mail is.

No the file on my PC, the cookie or something like that, it stores it on my PC because it automatically comes up when you go to hotmail. Nothing to do with the server!!

You asked a specific question and you got the answer. Now you want to argue about it? The email server doesn't store your password on your PC.

That would be foolish. That is why if you can't remember it you need to go to their site and request a new one. If your logging into the site why would you need to "find it" on your own PC?

What browser are you using?

For Firefox go to Firefox button > Options > Security tab, under Passwords click on Saved Passwords.
