    The responsible age would be l2 and older, but may vary from state to state. I would never attempt this sideline though without a course in CPR. Twelve is the legal age to be left unsupervised by an adult Ontario.

    And of course it will have to be old enough to satisfy the parents of the child you are going to watch. I know several 12 year olds that I would worry leaving them alone, and others that could well watch smaller children.

    But yes seldom younger than 12
