    Drivers licenses
    I got a dui in Colorado but have a Kansas drivers license... colordao has already taken my drivers license's away from me and now Kansas dmv is asking me to surrender it to them... How do I do this when I am living in Colorado ?

    Hello c:

    Put it in the mail... It's been suspended anyway, and you're not going to fool anyone with it. As a matter of fact, if you TRY to use it, you could open yourself up to additional charges.

    Explain to Kansas DMV that Colorado has already confiscated the physical document (if that's what you are saying). If, on the other hand, I am misunderstanding what you are saying (if, perhaps, you had a license from each state) mail it to Kansas.

    Exactly. I suspect that confiscation is an obsolete and unnecessary procedure, but the cops and bureaucrats continue to do it "because that's what we've always done".

    Seems to me that it would still be useful as identification. But what do I know?
