There is no way to accurately forecast the elimination time for any given individual.

The population average for elimination of Vicodin (Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen) is 3-4 days. To be safe I would allow the maximum.

Some additional information on Vicodin, pregnancy and nursing can be found at: Vicodin (Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen) Drug Information: User Reviews, Side Effects, Drug Interactions and Dosage at RxList (see p. 4)

I wish I could be more specific but that's simply not possible. I can't assure you that 5 days or 50 days is safe due to lack of specific knowledge. To get a little more precise information you might contact the pharmacist involved, or any pharmacist, as they are excellent and knowledgeable resources of drug pharmacokinetics under various conditions.

It's perfectly fine to take Vicodin/Lortab while breastfeeding. I give it all the time to my postpartum mom's who are breastfeeding after cesarean section.
