How do I know whether my house needs a 3 phase?
Our apartment has a 3 phase meter, if I replace it by a single phase meter will the cost of electricity decrease?

Someone told me that you need a 3 phase meter in case you use a central air conditioning system, we have it but never use it, we sometimes use regular ac , at maximum 3 air conditioners are working at the same time, but that rarely happens, so should I replace my current meter with a single phase meter?
    Thank you in advance

You cannot simply change a 3 phase meter with a single phase meter.

You would need to change the entire service entrance, to include conduit wire, meter sockets, panels.

I do not think there is any savings to change the service.

You pay for electricity by watts consumed and time, hence the kilowatt-hour rates.

Changing to 1 phase will not save you any power costs.

Do you own or rent this apartment?
