Kitchen sink turns on when using the washer or after flushing the toilet
We have a bathtub upstairs that won't drain. We have snaked it from an access point in the kitchen (downstairs). This resolved the prproblem for a while. Now it is clogged again. Tried snaking again and pipe seems clean. Now we are also getting strange things happening. When you flush the toilet (upstairs) or use the washing machine(downstains-1st floor)the kitchen sink starts running water. Could this be a clogged vent pipe?

Drains and water supplies are 2 completely different systems. Therefore, it should not be related at all.

Question: Do you know what's your house water pressure ? Measure it and tell us the number.

Also, explain what you mean by saying: "sink starts running water"...

Thank you... Back to you. Milo

Does that mean that water is backing up from the kitchen sink drain?
