Can I fill for back child support now that my son is 18. I just found out where his dad is living I tried to start the prosses when he was 6 but his father was in hiding util my son turned 18 I was unable to get a court order by a judge so he was not served after dna was done and he was found to be the father he ran. Child support inforcement closed the case due to not enough information is it to late for me we live in Florida and the father lives in Michican ?

Im not going to agree with this.

I think it may be possible to collect back support for the child since you had already tried to collect and he fled. Even without an order there was a determination. And in most states its illegal to cross state lines inorder to avoid child support collection. There may be a chance if a case was started that many years ago. You will need to consult a lawyer to get the ball rolling.

This is one that may go and end up to specific state law.
And exactly what was filed when they were 6, The problem will be finding the records from 13 years ago.
