I am grandma in search of answers.
On Oct.7th 2009 My daughter and three grand daughters lived with my husband and I.
When we first moved to our apartment my daughter met a man who she ended up having my third grand daughter with .Anyway my grand daughter Annabelle who was three months old at that time was beaten by her father one day while my daughter was at school .On this day I was picking up Annas mom from school .While I was gone annas dad picked her up he lived next door in a different building he had her in his care for maybe all of 30 minutes and brought her to me lifeless.I called 911 and did as I was told to do to help my grand daughter .help arrived they rushed her to the hospital dad went with the rescue squad I still did not know what happened I went and got my daughter from her friends cause she had walked down there before he had brought my grand daughter to me .I then took her to the hopspital to be with her daughter at the hospital we found out she had been shaken and abused and was in critical condition .We also later found out that he had done this to her before. We never knew we never saw any bruising on Annabelle except a small bruise by her eye she has two older sisters who are toddlers we thought maybe they threw a toy or something .as a mother of 3 myself I know these things happen it was not serious enough to take the little one to the hospital.Annabelle did not act no diggerent at any time she cried when she was wet hungery wanted attention there was no sing of a injury to her .Annabelles dad was convicted on all four counts two felony assults and two child endangerment he plea bargained with two of the charges .and is serving a 7 year sentence. But in the process of all of this they removed all my grand children a week later .they had e-rays done and there was no injuries what so ever on the other two children and yet they still took them they keep saying there is a unknown perp there was only one person charged and I have no violent background and niether does anyone in my immediate family .I can't afford a lawyer so I need guidance as to how to fight for them myself they are suffering greatly and they want to come home please any info you might have that could help me I would be grateful.
