I took some video with my digital camera and I'd like to capture a still image from it, and be able to edit the image as I could with any other picture on my computer. How can I do this?

I got this from another website. You can do it using VLC.
VLC Media Player
VideoLAN - VLC: Official site - Free multimedia solutions for all OS!
Quote:
To setup for your screen captures... open VLC and
Go to... Tools / Preferences / Video button / Video
Snapshots section.
In the directory field... Browse to and select a folder
To save your captures in. (for example... you could
Create a new folder on your desktop and select it)
At... Prefix... check the box... Sequential numbering.
At... Format... choose JPEG or PNG.
Finally... left click the 'Save' button.
Now... Play the video and pause by pressing your
Spacebar when you see a screen you wish to capture.
To capture the screen... type... Shift+S
You can use third party softwares like picasa, windows movie maker,VLC etc or else if u want image from the video while running press print scrn button from your keyborad then copy past into mspaint program.
Thanks, I will give it a try!
Ok, then he will go for third party softwares better use VLC
