If you did showers and dishes, you may have dropped the water below the foot valve or pump. Don't use water for a couple of hours and try again. In many places, drought conditions have caused the water table to drop. Pressure would still hold because the foot valve or check valve is properly closed. You could also have a stuck foot valve or cherck valve-hope for low water. Is this a jet pump or a submersible?

If the pump runs out of water, then you would use what pressure is in the tank until the pressure gets near zero. If the gauge shows you still have 20# or better of pressure, then you should still be getting water. I'd start looking at a water filter or softener if you have one.

If your gauge shows a minimal amount of pressure, then a lack of water in the well could very well be the problem.

Is your pump in the well or above ground?
