Hello
My cat name is Julle , she is 4 years old .I found her outside in winder time one year ago.Few days ago I left for holidays and cat stay home alone.Of course ,I has a person who give her food everyday and check her . When I come back she acting very strange .She looks like drunk, weak, lethargic .Her eyes act as she is blind.When I try to make her follow my finger , she do it very slow and sen as she has problems to hold her head up.She eats an drinks but not a lot. . I start really worry,because this is not normal. I probably have to take her to vet but I will like to hear from you, maybe you have same experience as me .THANK YOU

You MUST take her to a Vet - there is no "maybe." She is suffering.

Hey, I hope you're coping OK, can I ask if you knew the babysitter for your cat well? There is a lot more commen incidents than you think where some people won't even bother to look after there friends pets. I know it's cruel but I must warn it happens.

Don't jump to conclusions, it might not be that, I could be something else but since I'm no expert on Cats health I'm unable to really tell you.

My adivce is that you get it to a vet to make sure, if not, get it eating and drinking well, it may be some time but that may be all it needs, If I were to say the cause of this, the only thing I can say is the babysitter not doing there job right. I'm sure your little Julle will be fine and I hope I've helped.

Four is nowhere near being old for a cat. She's still young (cats can live 15-20 years).


Yes, you need to take her to the vet. It could be any number of things, from neglect while you were gone, to poisoning from getting into something, to injury, to manifesting illness, and anything in between. A vet will need to run tests to find out exactly what it is.

You also need to talk to whoever you asked to look after her. See if they noticed a change, and when.

Do you have any neighbors you can talk to who might be able to say if your cat really was looked after? Some people will 'forget' or just neglect to actually feed and water an animal, then go in the day before the owner returns to clean up and make it look like they were doing their job.

My mistake, I must admit after rereading I must have thought I saw 14 when I originally read the post.

My apologies, HHeath is correct 4 is not old at all. I misread her age as 14 not 4. But even at 4 these things are not normal.
I do hope you took her in for medical care.
And because I am a pet-sitter in my spare time it did not instantly occur to me that someone you trusted to care for for pet would not take that responsibility seriousely. But it is a possibility.
