Could there be internal injuries but no symptoms besides diarreah?
My mom was in a bad car accident on Saturday, and she thought she was fine. However, Sunday night she had diarreah all night and it was to the point that she had fecal incontinence when laying on her right side, but was a little better laying on her left.
Is it just bad food poisoning? Or could there be a specific bruised or injured organ that would be causing this?

Abdominal trauma can cause diarrhea via bruising or injury to organs perhaps, but not necessarily, associated with the seat belt. Another consideration should be emotional distress and anxiety resulting from the accident.

Primacy should be assigned to the former especially if the condition persists into the following day. For safety, I would go to an emergency room for further evaluation.

In addition, here are a couple of websites allowing comparison of various symptoms:

Yes this is a sign of possible internal issues and she needs to hurry for detailed check up. Plus if it was a bad wreck, even with no signs , she should be checked medically
