The door is in the hallway of my home, not near any doors or windows. The water is dripping from above the door as well as making the carpet wet under the door. I live in the desert and the dripping did not start until we starting using our air conditioner. The air conditioning unit is outside, on the right of our house. Nowhere near the door. I am afraid of what may be causing the leaking, but I cannot turn my air conditioner off in 100 degree weather. Help!!

Moisture in the air may be condensing. What is directly above that door way? (Second floor room, attic, what kind of roof, where is the chimney, etc.)

Chances are that you have a split unit air conditioner, half is out side and half is up in the attic. The air in the house is circulated through the half that is in the attic and cooled. When air is cooled it creates moisture or condensation. There is a pan in the part of the A/C that is in the attic to catch that condensation. There is also a small pipe that lets it drain to the outside. That pipe is blocked and needs to be cleared.
A good tool to clear it with is an electrician's fish tape. It is a long, slender, stiff wire. The fish tape usually comes in a roll and can be purchased at HD or Lowe's. A 25' fish tape is not very expensive. You may have to cut the pipe to push the fish tape down it. The pipe is probably PVC and can be cut and then reconnected easily.

Harold nailed it. Condenser is outside, coil is inside mounted on heater/blower unit in the attic. Do what Harold suggested...
