I have a very strong smell of cabbage in my bathroom, it comes and goes randomly even through out the night.

Could be the wax seal under the toilet is bad. Use some plumbers putty to temporarily seal the base and floor joint. If the smell goes away, remove the putty, pull the toilet and replace the wax ring.
