So this guy I text a lot. He is 2 years older than me which is my brothers grade. So I find it weird if my brother found out that we were talking. Well I've seen him at the pool twice now but he's always wit his friends and I juss don't have the guts to go talk to him. I'm usually not shy around guys at all but I guess the whole 2 years older same grade as my brother thing kind of throws me off. So help me what should I say to him? Oh by the way I'm going into 9th and he's going into 11th

Start by saying 'Hi' and see how he responds.

If you're already texting this guy then you might as well use that to your advantage and get to know him better that way. Suss out how he feels about you, if he's texting you back chances are he's quite interested.

I understand it can be really intimidating to walk up to a group of guys who are older than you and start trying to talk to one of the boys who you're not sure if he likes you or not, so perhaps don't put yourself in that situation. Suggest (by text of course) that you meet up together just the two of you, go to the cinema or to the pool together maybe. Or if he's not up for this and wants to bring his friends, bring yours too and introduce everyone to everyone so its more of a group gathering rather than you by yourself and him with his group of friends.

As for the brother thing, I'd try being honest with him. If anything came from you hanging out with this boy I'm sure he'd rather hear it from you than from from some people at school.
