Need some info first are you running win xp.
If you are open the case and physically remove the sound card.
Restart the computer a few times so the registry is updadted.

Look at your card you are looking for a model or manufacturer in case windows xp can not detect it.

Shut the machine down open the case put the sound card back in the same pci slot.

Close the case and start the computer. If the sound card is recognized by xp it will find the drivers for it .

Google DriversGuide or go to driversguide.com

Chances are they have it, just make sure you turn off your computer, open the case and get the make/model plus the chipset might help.

You should be able to get a driver from the manufacturer's website - unless it's an "OEM" card, in which case you will have to give them all the details printed on the card to find the correct software.

    Hi.
I think some of our volunteers have misread this post.

As you stated it is a laptop so please don't start getting the screwdriver to it .Just post the make, model and o/s and I will try to direct you to the correct driver for it.

    Regards Adamski.
