I've been with my partner for 3 years we are not married yet but she has a little girl who we know who the father is but he walked out on my partner from day one he found out she was pregent. I've been there since birth of our girl and I would love to adopt her but will I need the father's concent? I like in the uk.

I am not 100% positive on UK law, but generally you MUST have the father's consent to terminate his rights and proceed with an adoption. Most places also generally require that you MARRY before proceeding with adoption--if you're not willing to connect to each other legally and permanently, why should a judge allow a legal and permanent connection with the child?
