Well we only messaged each other, the same as always really but he seemed fine. We don't live that far away but he's been busy latley

If he didn't care about you he'd break up with you. If he's still with you then he obviously wants to be.

Sounds like he's just busy. Sadly that happens. I've been married for 16 years, with my husband for 21 years. We work opposite shifts, which means we see each other 2 days a week. Thing is, we know we love each other. We don't have to see each other every day to know that. If you don't know that, then there's obviously something that you're missing, or he's not fulfilling in you.

Talk to him about it.

Seems to me the first thing would be for you both to make time for each other. And I can't believe neither of you has talked about when you would get together.
