    Fridge warm, freezer still froze
I have a Kenmore fridge probably about 5 to 7 years old. Freezer on bottom, fridge on top.The last couple days my top fridge is getting warm and my freezer is still freezing. It sounds good and does not seem to be running any longer then usual. My two drawers seem cooler also. Is there something I should be looking for?

There are air ducts between the frig and the freeezer, sounds like your duct is frosted over. Defrosting will help but the cause will likely do it again, a bad defroster heater

Check to make sure that ducts between freezer and refrigerator are not blocked. Some refrigerators have small fans for air circulation. If yours has one make sure that it is operating.

Your defrost system has failed. You will need to check the defrost heater and terminator with an ohm meter and check the timer. Rotate the defrost timer and put it into defrost. If it defrost but will not come back on without manually rotating timer then you need a new timer. If it will not defrost you either have a bad defrost heater or a bad defrost t-stat. DrTom4444

I shut it off, left her sit for a couple days, cleaned up everything and plugged it back in again. It has worked great now for a week or so, so hopefully that was it and nothing more serious. Thanks
