Water not coming out of kitchen sink?
The water in my kitchen sink has stopped working. The sprayer isn't working either (that never did). The water is working everywhere else. When I turn the sink on only drops or a light stream comes out. Please help

    Hi Shameka...

Remove the aerator at the end of the spout and see if that is clogged. While the aerator is out, run the water and see if the flow is restored. If so, clean and replace the aerator. If the stream is messy after replacing the aerator, simply take the old one to a local home improvement store and purchase a new one.

In terms of the spray, it could be the spray or the spray diverter, but let's see if we can restore water flow first, OK?

    Back to you...

    Thanks Mark

I did as you said and all I'm getting is a very small stream of water. I forgot to mention when the water suddenly stopped I heard a small thump. I really can't afford to call a plumber so any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the faucet cartridge got something up inside it. To get to the issue you will need to shut off both the hot and cold water from under the sink and you'll need to disassemble the faucet.

While the faucet is disassembled, pulse the hot and cold water on to be sure to clear the water pipes and then clean or replace the cartridge assembly.

At this time, if your faucet is like many faucets (see bottom image), you may also want to lift the faucet spout body off the faucet and replace the SPRAY DIVERTER (see top image), too.

Otherwise, if repairs aren't your thing then replace the entire faucet and just be done with all this stuff for years to come!

More questions? Let me know, OK?
