The orange wire is disconnected in my white-rodgers thermostat
I have an "Insider" heat pump with a White-Rodgers 2H/1C Type 1F59-15 thermostat. Today I noticed the a/c wasn't cooling. The temperature was 85 but the thermostat was sitting on 73. I took the cover off the thermostat, blew on it, tapped it a little, jiggled it a little and it came on. While having the cover off, I noticed that a orange wire wasn't hooked to anything. There are to "black boxes" that wires run into. The one on top has W R L C, no wire in the L. The next box has G O Y B, orange wire isn't connected. The boxes also have screws corresponding to each wire, all are screwed down into the box except for the "L" on the top box. Is this orange wire supposed to be connected?
