Why do people complain about living under high electrical power lines?
Raysylvon my question is I hear so many people complain about living under electrical

High power line. What is the problem and what is the solution?

High voltage power lines can come down in a hurricane, storm, tornado, etc. Solution, move away from the high voltage power lines.

In addition to what tick said, I think people also fear the electromagnetic fields associated with high voltage power lines. I'm not saying such fears are justifiable, just that they exist.

If, you have a spare hour to read this whole thing, is what the World Health Ornization has to say. WHO | What are electromagnetic fields?

Thanks its true jcaron2 I know a number of years ago when my Dad was alive in Waukasha, Wisconsin he explained to me that those lines a great amount of electric current called eddy currents, anyway I slept under them and it bothered me a lot. Thanks much

I hear that tickle lol , but they tell me in reports I have read that those lines are losing a great deal of electrical
    Power on their grids. Thanks

Although disputed--but not ruled out... higher cancer risk especially for children.
    Solution--don't live there.

You people complain even when they want to re-locate wind turbines in the great lakes. We are going to lose our sustainable energy at some point in time, so wind turbines makes sense when you think about the power is coming from nature. There is so much energy to be harnessed from our water system. Downtown Toronto is being cooled by drawing up cold water from the bottom of Lake Ontario into buildings. This is harnessing nature to take care of our needs with little cost. It is doing away with costly electrical air conditioning systems.

So basically, what is your prohlem with energy saver ideas to continue our lifestyle in an appropriate manneer ?

I am not aware of that rule. Could you provide a link for me to reread the site requirements? Current studies show that this thinking about power lines causing cancer started back around 1979 and has since been debunked. Power Lines and Cancer: Nothing to Fear

Here's my required info source. Does this make the thumbs down go away? :/

Of course the majority of the studies seem to come back "inconclusive"--
Because what are "we" supposed to do with all those power lines and all those people
That live near and under them? Are the power companies going to relocate all those families?
Lotta politics and kick-backs involved in my opinion.
I just can't see how living near them CAN'T be BAD for you!
Similar situations that come to mind involve breast implants and vaccinations.
    That article again...

Has anyone ever thought of investigating the effects on electrical workers that are in and around live lines daily?

We are not exactly dropping like flies, from the effects of EMF.

Consider that the earth is a large magnet with the mother of all magnetic fields affecting all of us.

Will God move us from here, as the power companies should move anyone near power lines?

Anyone that has a problem with electricity should be living in the deep woods far away from the possible effects, and the benefits of electrical power.

The problem with studies is that you can always make your premise appear to be true. I could do a study that shows everyone who drinks coffee will die. However, I can't nowever prove it was the coffee. The weak link in this study is apparent even to the researchers. "But the researchers said they had not been able to show that the power lines were the cause of the increased risk and admitted there was possibility their findings could be due to chance."
