    Marriage
When I was in the Army, my sons biological mother send me a copy of her immigration id, telling me that she got the marriage annulled. Her id said single. I did not know much about the law at the time so I believed it. After I was discharged from the Army, I met this beautiful female and we fell in love. We ended up getting married and moved to Florida. I find out the my previous marriage was not annulled and the by law that marriage is still active. I would like to fix this situation but my son's mother is nowhere to be found. All I know is that she lives somewhere in VA. How can I get this fixed. And divorce that b#$%h?

So you have two problems - your first wife had a child which you say is not yours during your marriage and you want your name removed from the birth certificate. https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/family...ml#post2832847

You also remarried without divorcing (for whatever reason) your first wife. What proof of dissolution of your first marriage did you present when you remarried?

The first marriage isn't active. That marriage is legal. It's your second which is not a legal marriage.

You hire an Attorney to locate wife #1 and you file for divorce. Child support/custody/visitation and paternity for the child can be settled at the same time. Of course, if she's illegal and you've known it that opens another question.

    You need an Attorney.

Maybe wife #1 is whatever she is but I would try to be more "composed" when explaining the situation - you're the one who ends up looking bad.

I know... I am just upset because on top of naming her child with my last name, she abandoned my son that I have with her.

As noted, you are still legally married and in fact, could even be charged with a criminal offense of marrying two people.
** most likely won't happen, but could.

If you can't find the "ex" you will have to follow the rules of the court, but you do what is required court.

You have a bigger problem here. Bigamy is a criminal offense. You could face jail time if convicted. Do you still have the proof that the 1st wife claimed to have the marriage annulled.

Also what do you mean that she abandoned your son?
