Old misunderstood judgment!!
In July of 2009 I was served with a bogus restraining order made by a friend whom I had recently had a falling out with. When told that I had missed court and had judgment againdt me I was under the impression that this just meant that the restarining order would be extended. Initially I had planned to fight this and I went to court to do what I thought was just bring the case back up to prove that the restraining order was obtained from false information. After awhile I decided that I really didn't care to have any further contact with this friend so I didn't care if the restraining order was extended. I resently found out that the judgement had nothing to do with the restraining order but it was a Judgment in which this friend had sued me for $5000. And that when I went to What I thought was motion back up the restraining order case I had actually vacated the original judgment and by not showing up again I received another default judgement. It has now been two yrs and Im just finding out and realizing that this $5000 judgment is on my credit report. Is there anything that I can do now about this??
