I am 20 years old and wanting to become a guardian for my friend who is 16 and lives in a horrible environment at home. As far as bills and food are concerned I can provide for her but am wondering if I am able to become a guardian at such a young age.. . Any help would be appreciated.

Contact your local family services agency. Report the "horrible environment" and let them know you are willing to foster the girl.

I'll assume you are also female, because if you are not, you stand no chance.
